Add alternate accounts by login group

The Add Alternate Accounts by Login Group page allows a superuser to add multiple alternate accounts to a principal for different login groups.

To add alternate accounts by login group, you must be a superuser.
  1. In the left navigation pane, select the Settings icon (Settings icon).
  2. In the Manage Users section, select Edit Users.
  3. Select the Row Action menu (Row Action menu icon), of the user to be the principal user and then select Edit. You can edit only users in the same login group as you.
  4. From the list of links at the bottom of the page, select the Manage Alternate Accounts link.
  5. On the Manage Alternate Accounts page, select the Add Alternate Accounts by Login Group link.
The Add Alternate Accounts by Login Group appears. If the account already has alternate accounts, a table of those accounts is displayed showing the login group, account name, and status.
  6. Select new alternate accounts to create for each login group shown in the second table by selecting the check boxes in the Create Alternate Account column.
If there are login groups for which this user does not have an alternate account, Empirica displays a table showing the login group, user profile, and the name of the new alternate account. Select at least one alternate account to create.

    Note:

Each login group provides the short name that Oracle Empirica uses as a suffix to create the suggested alternate account username within the login group. The short name is added to the principal account username as follows: principal username + “:” + short name.
  7. Select Save or Cancel.
    • Save adds the alternate accounts and lists them on the Add Alternate Accounts by Login Group page. You can then select Continue to return to the Manage Alternate Accounts page.
    • Select Cancel to return to the Manage Alternate Accounts page without adding the alternate accounts.
