Add alternate accounts for multiple users

If you are a superuser, you can create multiple alternate accounts at the same time using the Select Rows option on the Users page.

  1. In the left navigation pane, select the Settings icon (Settings icon).
  2. In the Manage Users section, select Edit Users.
  3. On the Users page, select the Select Rows link.
  4. Select at least one account. Do not select any Alternate accounts.
A selection box appears to the left of each row. Available options change as well. The additional options include:
    • Add Alternate Accounts: (For superusers) Add alternate accounts to the selected users.
    • Select All/Clear All: Selects or clears all rows.
  5. Select Add Alternate Accounts.
  6. Select the login group in which to create the alternate accounts from a drop-down list of login groups that have a default user profile.

    Note:

For bulk alternate account creation, a default user profile needs to be associated with each login group. The selected login group supplies the suffix used to generate the alternate account names.
After the login group is selected, Empirica displays a table that lists the selected principal account and a suggested alternate account to create in the login group. The alternate account is generated using the convention of <principal username>:< login group short name>.
  7. Select Save.
The Execution Results log displays a list of the alternate accounts that were processed.
