Manage users

• View the Users list
  The Users page provides information about each user. You can also add users, view the licenses needed for each user, print or download the table, perform operations on multiple accounts, and disable or enable accounts.
• Display active licensed user counts
  From the License Usage page, users can clearly identify which user roles require Oracle Empirica Signal and which require Oracle Empirica Topics product licenses and other relevant details.
• Add or edit a user in a self-hosted environment
  For self-hosted installations, you first create users in your single sign-on environment, then manage their roles and permissions on the Oracle Empirica Signal Users page or the Edit Alternate Account page, depending on if the account is a principal account or an alternate account.
• Add or edit a user in an Oracle-hosted environment
  For Oracle-hosted installations, you first create users in the appropriate cloud identity management console, then manage their roles and permissions on the Oracle Empirica Signal Users page or the Edit Alternate Account page, depending on if the account is a principal account or an alternate account.
• Assign roles to a user
  A user role is the name of a set of permissions that are needed by a particular group of users (such as data mining results reviewers). The application includes predefined user roles, which can be modified or added to by a superuser.
• Assign permissions to a user
  You can assign additional permissions to an individual user; however, you cannot disable permissions that have been assigned via a user role.
• Change user passwords
  If you have the Administer Users permission, you can change the passwords of other users in your login group.
• Rename a user
  You can rename a user but be aware of the impacts renaming a user has.
• Change the authentication method for a user
  You can change the authentication method for a user to Local, SSO (single sign-on), or LDAP.
• Enable, disable, or delete a user
  All Oracle Empirica features require that users are enabled before they can use those features. Because users leave login groups and organizations, you can also disable or delete users.
• Purge users
  To delete objects assigned to a deleted user, you must also purge the user.
