Account settings

We enhanced the Account users and access page to improve usability, made permission descriptions easier to see, and added the ability for you to add users when your organization uses Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS).

Account users and access

In release 25.1.1, we made several updates that make it easier to manage user accounts and teams. On the Account users and access page, when adding a new user, that user's status now defaults to Active and will show Active in the Status column.

To improve vertical scrolling and make more information visible, the user grid now shows up to 25 users per page, and the grid's height is now set to fit the majority height of the page, like the site grid. We also pinned the header so you can see it as you scroll up and down the table, and the Last name and First name columns are now pinned to the left when you scroll right. We also updated column order so they display left to right as follows:

  • Last name
  • First name
  • Email address
  • Roles
  • Teams
  • Status
  • Lock
  • Last access
  • Created
  • IDCS ID
  • OAC ID

You'll see additional enhancements to the Create/update a role and Create/update a team pages in this release. Descriptions are now immediately visible. Permission descriptions now show below each permission, and we removed the info icons, so you no longer need to hover over the icon to see the permission details.

Add users in account with IDCS

If your organization uses Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) sign on with Oracle Site Select, you previously couldn’t add users directly to your Oracle Site Select account. With enhancements in 25.1.1, you can now add new users if you have User and role management permission. The new user will be auto-provisioned in IDCS, and you can set their permission role or team so they get the right access when they log in via IDCS.

Note:

If your organization's IDP is federated with IDCS then a new user created in Oracle Site Select will provision in Oracle IDCS but may not further provision in your IDP.
