Define a Business Day for the Organization

  • You must be a Payment Administrator to define a business day.

  • This feature lets you define the specific hours for a business day. In reports, the business day definition determines which day a transaction is reported.

  • This process sets the business day for the entire organization. If a certain location needs a different business day definition, see Define a Business Day for a Location.
  • For more details about required privileges, see Predefined Payment Groups and Privileges.

  1. In Payment Cloud Service, click Locations at the bottom of the dashboard, and then click Manage Business Day.
  2. Click Start, select the day and time for the start of day, and then click Done. The End date and time is automatically populated for the day and time 24 hours later.
If you do not want to use a 24 hour interval, deselect 24 hour period and then adjust the End date and time.
  3. Select whether the business day should be counted when the transaction is received or fulfilled.
For example, if a transaction is authorized on a Monday, but completed on a Thursday, it will report on a Monday if Received is selected and reports on a Thursday if Fulfilled is selected. If a transaction is authorized and completed on a Monday, then it reports on that day no matter what the selection is.
  4. Click Add.
