Define a Business Day for a Location

  • You must be a Payment Administrator to define a business day.

  • This process overrides the organization business day definition and sets the business day for a specific location.

  • This feature lets you define the specific hours for a business day. In reports, the business day definition determines which day a transaction is reported.

  1. In Payment Cloud Service and then click Locations at the bottom of the dashboard.
  2. Click the actions menu icon of 3 dots next to the location and then click Manage Business Day.
  3. Select Override Business Day set at the organization.
  4. Click Start, select the day and time for the start of day, and then click Done. The End date and time is automatically populated for the day and time 24 hours later.
    If you do not want to use a 24 hour interval, deselect 24 hour period and then adjust the End date and time.
  5. Select whether the business day should be counted when the transaction is received or fulfilled.
    For example, if a transaction is authorized on a Monday, but completed on a Thursday, it will report on a Monday if Received is selected and reports on a Thursday if Fulfilled is selected. If a transaction is authorized and completed on a Monday, then it reports on that day no matter what the selection is.
  6. Click Add.
