Business Accounts
Each business unit requires at least one business account, which is linked to a bank account and allows funds to flow from each payment location. A business account has one or more users who manage the account. It also has one or more locations assigned to it, this is done to group locations that need to be paid out together for the transactions they process.
Each business account is linked to a bank account that is verified under that business. Meaning, direct payouts from this business account are linked to the bank account. Multiple business accounts under a business can link to the same bank account. To add bank account information, see Verify a Business.
After a business is verified, you can then set up a business unit.
After the business unit is complete, you can add a business account from the onboarding checklist.
Privileges define how a user can interact with a business account:
- You must be permitted to manage business accounts, see Predefined Payment Groups
- You can only view or update a business account that you are a user of.
- The user who creates the business account automatically has full control.
- You must be a user or a business account user of the business unit the account will be link to, see Assign Account Structure Access.
You can access business accounts from the Business Management page at the bottom of the dashboard, then click the business, click the business unit, and then click the business account.
If the business is not fully onboarded yet, navigate to the onboarding checklist by clicking Business Management, click the business, and then from the checklist click the Business Account step.
