Open a Hold

To search for and open an existing hold:

  1. Click Extended Transaction.

  2. Click Hold.

    • If a customer is not associated with the transaction, continue with Step 4.

    • If a customer is associated with the transaction, but does not have any open holds, continue with Step 3.

    • If a customer is associated with the transaction and has open holds, continue with Step 6.

  3. Click Search.

  4. Enter the search criteria:

    • Account ID - The hold account identifier.

    • Last Name - The hold account owner's last name.

    • First Name - The hold account owner's first name.

    • Customer ID - The hold account owner's customer Id.

    • Phone # - The hold account owner's phone number.\

  5. Click Process.

    • If Xstore Point of Service displays a list of holds that match the entered criteria, continue with Step 6.

    • If Xstore Point of Service does not find any holds that match the entered criteria, go to Step 3 to perform another search.

  6. Select the hold:

    • Click the hold.

    • Use the up and down arrows to highlight the correct hold, then press the Spacebar.

  7. Click OK.

    The hold opens. Continue with the appropriate procedure:
