5 Configurator

The Configurator component of Configuration Manager is used to create, maintain, and deploy configuration changes selectively, or globally across the entire organization. SeeAbout this Chapter below for a list of the configuration areas described in this chapter.

Note:

The Profile Management component of Configuration Manager is used to define "store personalities" in order to create configuration paths. Refer to Profile Management for more information about managing profiles and config paths.

The logged-in user is assumed to represent some tier of the organization. For this reason, the user's assigned org node hierarchy will determine the information he/she has access to. See Roles, Users, and Security Access for more information about users and security access.
