Health Assessment Options

The product provides functionality to periodically collect health assessment scores of various aspects of the application. Such mechanism has the following benefits:

  • Minimize risks and costs by reporting and addressing issues promptly.
  • Proactively identify common implementation issues in customer environments to address potential problems early.
  • Leverage best practices that are based on proven strategies from other Oracle products to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Following points highlight some of the features of this functionality:

  • The health assessment type object defines configuration related to a given assessment rule, including various criteria that determine whether it is applicable to the current environment or not.
  • The health assessment object is used to capture a calculated assessment value at a given point in time along with a corresponding pass, fail or warning score.
  • The Health Assessment Dashboard portal provides a high level compliance summary.
  • The Health Assessment portal is provided to display information about a calculated assessment.
  • A monitor batch control is used to create the health assessment records. Every time it's run, it calculates and captures another measurement for each health assessment type that is eligible for the current environment.
  • In a cloud environment, the monitor batch control used to create the health assessment records is considered an internal batch job and will be run by the Oracle Utilities Cloud Service.
Note: Although the health assessment functionality is required for cloud implementations, implementations that are on premises may also choose to run the health assessment type's monitor batch control to capture information for viewing in the Health Assessment Dashboard portal if desired.
