Pre-Event Push Alert v3
Pre-event mobile push alerts notify customers through the utility’s mobile application ahead of an upcoming peak event, encouraging them to reduce energy usage and save money during periods of high demand. These alerts are typically delivered the day before the event to keep the reminder timely and top of mind, although they may be sent earlier or later depending on operational needs, such as emergency peak events. Because the notifications are delivered through a mobile application, the messaging is intentionally brief, clear, and action-oriented. Customers are reminded of the event timing and the financial benefits of reducing energy consumption during the peak period. As with most mobile applications, customers may choose to disable push notifications at any time.
The following is an example of a pre-event push alert for customers on the Self-Comparison and Neighbor Comparison tracks before a multi-day event:
"Today, Tuesday, 12/14, from 4pm to 9pm, and tomorrow, Wednesday, 12/15, from 3pm to 8pm reduce electric use to earn credits on your bill. Text STOP to opt out."
