Add Attribute

Use the Add Attribute dialog to define a new custom attribute:

At the portal level, this dialog is available to the portal manager (or members with the Manage Configuration permission) for adding portal-specific attributes.

Custom attributes are propagated throughout the portal. Any portal page, task flow, or portlet that delivers content based on parameter values can accept custom attribute values and display content accordingly.

New portals based on a portal template that includes custom attributes will inherit the custom attributes and their values.
At the application level, this dialog is available to the system administrator for adding global attributes.

Element	Description
Name	Enter a unique name for the attribute.
Value	Enter a value for the new attribute. You can type a static value, or specify a dynamic value by entering an Expression Language (EL) expression.
Add	Click to add the specified attribute to the custom attributes for the current portal, or to WebCenter Portal for use by all portals.
