Search Preferences

The Search preferences page provides controls for specifying the WebCenter Portal services to include in searches. It also provides controls for configuring the display of search results.

Set service and display preferences for individual Search views on the views themselves.

The Documents service also provides a search mechanism that focuses solely on document searches. More

Nonetheless, an application-level search can also return results from the Documents service if you configure it to do so.

Services

Element	Description
Available Services	All of the services available for including in searches Your administrator makes services available to WebCenter Portal. By default, all enabled services are selected to be searched. You can disable any service from which you do not want to see search results. Note: When Elasticsearch server is configured in WebCenter Portal, the Elasticsearch service cannot be deselected, and services that do not support Elasticsearch search (such as Notes) are not listed. Select one or more services and move them to the Selected Services list to include the selected services' content in searches.
Move Icons	Click to move selections between the Available Services list and the Selected Services list:

Rearrange Icons	Click to rearrange the display order for services in search results.
