Configure Object Storage as OnVault Storage
To use Object Storage as OnVault storage, either to offload copies of data directly to a cheaper tier or for long-term retention, you first need to attach Object Storage to each Sky Appliance.
- In the AGM UI, go to the Domain Manager and select the Sky Appliance on which you want to configure the Object Storage.
- Click Configure Appliance. A new tab opens in the browser, pointing to Sky Appliance IP address directly.
- In the Storage Pools section, click the OnVault tab in the upper-right corner and then click the green plus sign + to add an OnVault Pool.
- In the Add New OnVault Pool dialog box, enter the
following values.
- Enter a user-friendly pool name to identify the Object Storage bucket in AGM.
- Select Cloud – Oracle from the Pool Type menu.
- Provide the access key and secret key values that you generated in the “Use Object Storage for OnVault Storage” section.
- Enter the namespace and the exact name of the bucket.
- Select the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region of the bucket.
- Click Save. Object Storage is successfully added as an OnVault Pool.
