Connecting to an Oracle account

When you add or import data or topic workflow configurations, the Empirica Signal application must connect to an Oracle account. The first time you connect to an Oracle account during your current session, you must provide the Oracle password. Once you provide the password,you remain connected to that Oracle account until you log out.

1.         Click Settings.

The Settings page appears.

2.         In the Configure System section, click Manage Configurations.

The Manage Configurations page appears.

3.          Click Add Configuration.

The Add/Import Configuration page appears.

4.         To add a configuration, click the name of an existing Oracle account. For data configurations, click Choose a Different Account and provide the name of an Oracle account.

The application adds topic workflow configurations immediately.

Login fields appear.

A.        In the Oracle password field, type the password for the Oracle account. The password is case sensitive.

B.        Click OK.

When the system has connected, the Modify Configuration page appears.

To import a configuration, click the name of an Oracle account. For data configurations, click Import Configurations from a Different Account and provide the name of an Oracle account.

Login fields appear.

A.        In the Oracle password field, type the password for the Oracle account. The password is case sensitive.

For topic workflow configurations, if you import from the TOPIC_WORKFLOW account, you do not need to provide the Oracle password.

B.        To assign the data configurations to a database group, select an existing group or click Add to new group and enter a name for the new group. Results reviewers can use this information when finding and selecting a data mining run.

C.        Click OK.
