Finding and selecting a data mining run

You can use various run characteristics to easily locate a run.

1.         Select the Data Mining Results tab.

The Select Criteria page appears.

2.         Next to the Run name field, click Browse.

The Select Run dialog box appears.

3.         From the drop-down lists in the 1. Choose Characteristics section, specify the characteristics of the runs to select. Select -- to include all runs.

Run Characteristic

Description

Database Group

Database group containing the data configuration that was used for the run.

Data As Of

Run As Of date. If blank, the run is not for timestamped data and has no As Of date.

Event Variable

Event variable used by the run.

Drug Variable

Drug variable used by the run.

Concomitant Drugs

Select Exclude for runs based on a data configuration that is set up to exclude concomitant drugs. Select Include for runs based on a data configuration that is set up to include concomitant drugs, such as an AERS (S + C) configuration.

Dimension

For an MGPS run, the highest dimension specified for the run when the run was created.

For an LR run, select 2 for runs that did not compute interactions and 3 for runs that did compute interactions.

DB Restriction

If a database restriction was used for the run, select Yes. If no database restriction was used for the run, select No.

Subset Variable

Subset variable used for the MGPS run. A run can have only one subset variable. If blank, no subset variable was used for the run.

Subset Type

If cumulative subsetting was used for the MGPS run, select Cumulative.  If non-cumulative (discrete) subsetting was used for the run, select Non-cumulative. If no subsetting was used for the run, the drop-down list is blank.

Strata Variables

Stratification variable used for the MGPS run. The same run can have multiple stratification variables. If blank, no stratification variable was used for the run.

Min Count

For an MGPS run, the minimum count specified for the run.

For an LR run, the minimum number of times a drug must occur in combination with a specified event to be included in the run.

Configuration

Name of the data configuration used for the run.

Project

Name of the project for which the run was created.

Run Type

MGPS for an MGPS run; LR for a logistic regression run.

For example, to work with an MGPS run that uses Gender for stratification, choose MGPS as the run type and Gender as the stratification variable. Only runs that have both those characteristics appear in the table.

Note: If there are no existing runs with a certain characteristic, you cannot choose that characteristic. For example, if there are no logistic regression runs, LR is not available for Run Type.

4.         In the 2. Select Run section, to view a description of a run, click the row menu (Row menu), and then click View Run Details.

The application displays the run details of the selected run. For more information, see Viewing run details.

5.         To choose a run, click Row menu for that run, and then click Select.

6.         Click Reset if you want to reset all criteria to -- (All).
