5.10.1 Introduction

The A_DietRequest (identified/confirmable) CMET identifies a verified order placed by a certified practitioner to provide constraints, instructions, or special requests regarding the provision of foods or nutritional supplements for a patient. Diet requests do not include the handling of dietary preferences expressed by the patient. Also, it does not include the provision of medications other than those used as nutritional supplements.
