4.20.1 Introduction

The Person Merge RMIM represents two person records that have been found to be duplicates, and need to be merged. One of the person record is identified as a survivor and the other (donor) record is subsumed by it. Subsumption of one person by the other is represented by a role that is played by the donor and scoped by the survivor. Person Merge is a registry event communicated by an EMPI or ADT system.

"CREATEIF" side effect processing is used for the the person entities in the Person Merge message.
