The Bed Status Observation Event Act communicates the bed status changes that occur during the normal daily activities within a healthcare enterprise. Examples of bed status include Needs Housekeeping and Needs Maintenance.
The Bed Status Observation Event RMIM reflects the design of the information content of messages used to communicate changes to the house keeping and maintenance status of a bed. Typically, bed status events are grouped in paris. For every message that says a particular activity is required, there is a reciprocal message that states that the activity is no longer needed. The status is communicated in the form of a coded value.
