STEP 2: Complete the required InForm training
Your UMT Administrator assigns you to take any InForm training that is required for your participation in any assigned InForm studies. Depending on the training resources your Sponsor uses, you'll be assigned Oracle's Instruct Online (IOL) training or to an alternative training resource.
When you are first assigned to take IOL training:
- You will receive two emails from PhaseForwardIOL@phaseforward.com:
- One email with the subject line Oracle Health Sciences Online Training- [Customer Name] regarding Study Name] containing details of the training you are required to complete.
- A second email with the subject line Oracle Health Sciences Online Training - Login Details containing credentials and the link needed to login to IOL and complete the assigned training.
- Log in to IOL, and complete the assigned training.
- After you complete the required training, you will receive an email from PhaseForwardIOL@phaseforward.com containing a link to a certificate for the completed training.
- Click the link to view and save the certificate.
After you complete all assigned IOL training, the training status for your account will automatically be updated to Trained, which is required for the study access process to continue.
If you are assigned to additional IOL training:
- If you are assigned to the same course by the same Sponsor for a different study within 12 months of completing it, you don't need to re-take the training.
- Your account in UMT is automatically marked as Trained.
- You will not receive any additional training emails from PhaseForwardIOL@phaseforward.com.
- If you are assigned to the same course by a different Sponsor within 12 months of completing it, you are instructed to take the training again.
- In this case, you will receive the two training emails from PhaseForwardIOL@phaseforward.com again.
- However, you can download your certificate and send it to the new Sponsor instead of taking the training again. The new Sponsor can then manually mark you as Trained.
In either case, if you completed the training more than 12 months ago, you are required to take the training again. Ask your Study Administrator to ask an IOL Administrator to request the login details be re-sent to you.
If you are using an alternate training resource other than IOL:
- Work with your administrator to make sure you’ve completed the required training.
