Internet of Things expands Flow Runtime and Digital Twin capabilities

Internet of Things (IoT) adds these Flow Runtime and Digital Twin capabilities:

  • Digital twin instances support credential rotation under the same secret or subordinate-CA OCID. See Updating Secret Credentials and the Certificate Rotation Overview.
  • Supported Flow Runtime nodes can use an OCI resource OCID in a credential field instead of storing the credential value in the flow. See Using the Node-RED Editor for supported references and access requirements.
  • IAM policy conditions can narrow access to Digital Twin resources by resource OCID or associated model, see Restricting Digital Twin Access by Model.
  • Flow Runtime nodes can read and write data in the runtime-specific database schema, see IoT Flow Runtimes.
  • Validated Object schemas can make selected fields optional by declaring a required array. An empty array makes all declared fields optional; omitting required retains the existing all-fields-required behavior. See JSON Schema Validation Reference.
