About the Siebel Storage Control File Templates

New Siebel Schema layout: one table per table space, one table space per database.

As a result, the following changes occurred:

  • Database name prefixes changed from six characters to four characters.
  • Siebel Systems ships three database storage control files.
  • Database storage layout from prior releases are no longer shipped.

Applying DDL on the DB2 Host

  • New user-defined functions:
    • nextseq() generates sequential values for EIM Export.
    • exrate() currency aggregation functions.
  • DB2 options are supported by Siebel database utilities for CREATE statements.
