The Sun Blade 6000 Virtualized Multi-Fabric 10GbE M2 Network Express Module (Virtualized M2 NEM) is a multi-purpose connectivity module for the Sun Blade 6000 modular system. The Virtualized M2 NEM supports connection to external devices through 10 GigabitEthernet (GbE) small form-factor pluggable (SFP)+ ports and 10/100/1000 twisted-pair Ethernet (TPE) ports. The NEM connects server modules (blades) in a Sun Blade 6000 modular system chassis with SAS-2 disk modules in the same chassis and also provides external SAS–2 connections.

Note - If you are planning to use a Sun Blade Storage Module M2 for internal chassis host storage, you will also need to refer to its documentation additional installation and configuration details.
