This chapter describes the steps involved in migrating version 5.2 to Directory Server 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5.0). Directory Server 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5.0) provides a migration tool, dsmig, that automates aspects of the migration for certain platform/version combinations. If servers within your topology fall outside of these combinations, the same migration steps must be performed manually.
