This section describes how to set up your system to send and receive traps. It also describes the traps that you can use to receive change notification for logical domains (domains), as well as other traps that you can use.
The Oracle VM Server for SPARC MIB provides the same SNMP traps for both Oracle Solaris 10 and Oracle Solaris 11. However, the snmptrapd daemon no longer automatically accepts all incoming traps for Oracle Solaris 11. Instead, the daemon must be configured with authorized SNMP v1 and v2c community strings, with SNMPv3 users, or both. Unauthorized traps or notifications are dropped.
