In addition to setting up common functions across all of Oracle Self-Service Web Applications, there are additional setup steps for each product. See:

Be sure to register your user as either a employee, customer, or supplier: See: Users Window.
Employee This user must be a valid employee in your Human Resources (HR) tables. See: Enter Person.
Customer This user must exist as a customer contact in your Receivables (RA) tables. Entering Customers.
Supplier This user must exist as a supplier contact within PO tables. See: Defining Supplier Lists.
You must create menus to assign to responsibilities. Menus can contain functions and other menus. See: Defining a New Menu Structure.
Functions define the individual application or utility access available to a user. You create functions by entering parameters and values, linking them to a function name. See: Form Functions Window.
You need to create responsibilities to assign to users. A responsibility determines how much of an application's functionality a user can use. Each responsibility is then assigned functions. Once you create responsibilities, you must assign any securing and excluding attributes. See: Data Security and Responsibilities Window.
Once you have created responsibilities, you must assign them to individual users. You must also assign securing attribute values to users. See: Users Window.
Set up your page layout options, starting page URL, and your webmaster's email address. See: Setting Up Page Layout, Starting Page, and Webmaster Address.
