Changing Your Revenue Classification Setup
You can make changes to your revenue classification setup. You can add, change, or delete:
- Revenue classes in a hierarchy
- Rules in the classification rules hierarchy
However, when you make any of these changes, you need to:
1. Apply your changes by navigating to the Classification Rules window and choosing Synchronize.
This regenerates the Classification module so that the new rule and revenue class definitions can be used in compensation plans. You do not need to synchronize if you only rearranged the rules.
2. From the Concurrent Manager, run one of the following programs:
Install Classification Rules Package Text: This program generates a SQL script and then installs the modified rule definitions in the database.
Attention: You need to run this program whenever you modify or synchronize the rules.
3. Recalculate compensation if you want to make the changes retroactive for any period of time. Changing a Hierarchy explains how to calculate compensation retroactively.
