Updating Room Blocks and Line Items for a Quote

Room blocks and line items are transferred from the opportunity to the quote when the quote is generated, but this information can be updated at the quote stage if necessary. You can add new room blocks and line items at this stage. The Room Blocks view also allows you to launch availability and pricing checks.

This task is a step in Managing Event Room Block Information in Quotes.

NOTE:  In order to add products as line items to a room block, visibility for the product must be set up. For more information, see Adding Catalog Visibility to Products.

To update room block information for a quote

1. Navigate to the Quotes screen > Quotes List view.
2. In the Quotes list, query for and select the quote.
3. In the Quote record, click the link in the Quote # field, and then click the Room Blocks view tab.
4. In the Room Blocks list, add new records or update existing records as required.

   If you drill down on the room block Name field, you arrive at the Room Block screen, where you can further define or modify the room block.

To add line items for a room block

1. Navigate to the Quotes screen > Quotes List view.
2. In the Quotes list, query for and select the quote.
3. In the Quote record, click the link in the Quote # field, and then click the Room Blocks view tab.
4. Scroll down to the Room Block Line Items list, and add a record.

   NOTE:  In the Room Blocks list, you are allowed only one record with the same Room Type and Day #.

5. Complete the fields, and save the record.

   Repeat Step 3 through Step 5 to specify additional room block line items.

   NOTE:  You can view complete details for a room block line item using the Room Block Line Items screen.
