Creating a Project for an Inline Service

Before you can deploy an inline service, you must first create a project in Siebel Decision Studio with the default inline service metadata folder. The metadata folder comes in a packaged zip file, which contains XML and Java files organized in a directory structure.

This task is a step in Process of Configuring Siebel Business Applications for Siebel RTD.

To create a project for an inline service

  1. Create a new folder under \RTD\apps\ on your installation directory, for example, \RTD\apps\SiebelB2C.
  2. Locate the metadata zip file for the inline service, for example, \ALL\8.0\B2C\SiebelB2C.zip.
  3. Copy the zip file into the new folder, then unzip the file into the folder.
  4. Start Siebel Decision Studio; that is, choose Program Files > Siebel Analytics > Siebel RTD > Siebel Decision Studio.
  5. Choose File > New, then select Inline Service Project.
  6. Type either SiebelB2B or SiebelB2C for the project name.
  7. Select Create project from existing source, then enter the name of the directory you created in Step 1.
  8. Click Finish.

When the project is created, the inline service metadata is displayed in Siebel Decision Studio. The inline service metadata includes predefined decisions, data sources, and integration points.
