Deploying an Inline Service


Before you deploy an inline service, you must import the customer data sources. After you deploy an inline service, the RTD application is ready for use.

This task is a step in Process of Configuring Siebel Business Applications for Siebel RTD.

To deploy an inline service

  1. Start Siebel Decision Studio; that is, choose Program Files > Siebel Analytics > Siebel RTD > Siebel Decision Studio.
  2. Choose File > Open, then select the inline service you want to work with.
  3. Expand the Data Sources folder, double-click Customer, then click Import.
  4. Select the J2EE server that is running, then click Next.
  5. Depending on the system response, perform the appropriate step as described in the following table.
    If ...
    Then Perform These Tasks ...

    Siebel Decision Studio displays a list of tables and views with the correct view highlighted for the current data source.

    Click Finish.

    You configured the JDBC data source correctly.

    An error message is displayed.

    Click Cancel.

    Discontinue this task, and check that the JDBC data sources were created correctly. For more information about creating JDBC data sources, see Creating JDBC Data Sources.

    The inline service is now ready to be deployed to the server.

  6. Choose File > Deploy.
  7. Select the correct SiebelB2C or SiebelB2B project from the Project drop-down list.
  8. Select Development from the Deployment State drop-down list.
  9. Click Deploy.

    If the inline service is successfully deployed, a success message box is displayed. The RTD server is now ready to test.
