Optimizing Display Space on the Dispatch Board

This task is a step in Process of Setting Up the Dispatch Board.

To display the optimal amount of information in the display space on the Dispatch Board, complete the following tasks:

• Change the number of rows of employee information that is displayed.
• Change the height of the display area.

  After you change the number of rows that is displayed, you must change the height of the display area to accommodate all of the rows. To determine the proper height, use the following formula:

  (23 times the number of rows) plus 84

  For example, if you change the number of rows to 20, you must change the height of the display area to 544 ([23 times 20] plus 84).

To change the number of rows that display on the Dispatch Board

1. Log in to Siebel Tools as an administrator.
2. Lock the FS Dispatch Board project for editing.
3. Navigate to Object Explorer > Siebel Objects > Applet.
4. Query for the FS DB Planned GanttChart AX Applet.
5. Navigate to Applet > Applet User Prop.

   NOTE:  If Applet User Prop is not visible, go to View > Options, select the Object Explorer tab, and select the Applet User Prop object definition.

6. Query for the Y-BC ViewSet Size user property.
7. Change the number in the Value field to the number of rows that you want to display.

To change the height of the display area on the Dispatch Board

1. Log in to Siebel Tools as an administrator.
2. Lock the FS Dispatch Board project for editing.
3. Navigate to Object Explorer > Siebel Objects > Applet.
4. Query for the FS DB Planned GanttChart AX Applet.
5. Navigate to Applet > Control.
6. Query for the GanttCtrl control
7. Change the number in the HTML Height field to the number that you calculate using the revised number of rows to display.
