Troubleshooting System Alert Notification
This topic provides guidelines for resolving problems with system alert notification. To resolve the problem, look for it in the list of Symptoms/Error messages in Table 18.

Incorrect enterprise, Siebel Server, or server component configurations |
Review information in Checking Your Enterprise and Siebel Server Configurations. |
SMTP server defined in the System Alert profile is not configured to accept requests from the Siebel Server |
Review your SMTP server documentation to configure these requests. |
Review log files |
Review log files of server component AdminNotify for other error messages or conditions. For information on configuring and reading server component log files, see Siebel System Monitoring and Diagnostics Guide. |
