This chapter describes the steps to prepare the Windows environment, and background information you need to know, before you run the Siebel Analytics installer.

NOTE:  The Siebel Analytics Installation Wizard runs under Windows systems only. The third-party Informatica installer also runs under Windows systems only. Administrators of UNIX-based systems must read the following paragraph.

Although Preparing UNIX Environment for Installing Siebel Analytics describes the setup in the UNIX environment, administrators must use this chapter also, because UNIX systems must have some Windows-based components installed, such as the Server Administration Tool, Siebel Analytics Catalog Manager, and Data Warehouse Application Console (DAC) client.

CAUTION:  Make sure you have uninstalled any previous installations of Siebel Analytics.
