Upgrading Siebel Analytics Platform for Integrated Applications

When Siebel Analytics is integrated with the Siebel operational application, the Analytics repository version must correspond to the transactional database and data warehouse database versions, but versions of Siebel Analytics and the Siebel operational application do not have to match.

The overall approach to use is the following:

• Upgrade your Siebel Analytics Server and Analytics Web Server to the Siebel Analytics platform version 7.7.
• Use the Siebel Analytics version 7.5 repository with the Siebel Analytics version 7.7 environment.

  CAUTION:  Do not use the repository from a later version of Siebel Analytics with the repository from an earlier version Siebel operational application. This may cause unpredictable behavior.

  The Siebel operational application cannot use repository files that are in a higher release format. When the Siebel Analytics Administration Tool opens a repository (.rpd) file, it converts the file to its release format. Once this repository is converted, it cannot be opened again in the earlier version Siebel Analytics Administration Tool.
