Booking Critical and Non-Critical Assets

Use the following procedures to reserve critical and non-critical assets for Function Line Items.

NOTE:  This procedure should only be performed after function line items are defined.

This task is a step in Process of Booking Hospitality Assets.

To reserve assets for function line items

1. Navigate to the Functions screen and query for the function.
2. In the Functions list, select the function and click the link in the Function Name field.
3. In the Line Items list, click Auto Book to automatically assign available assets to the line items of the function.
4. Review the Inventory Status field for each function line item to determine whether or not the line items were successfully booked and which line items need additional action such as overbooking.

   If the booking is successful, the field shows a Status of Booked.

To double-book assets for a function line item

1. Navigate to the Functions screen > Functions List view.
2. In the Functions list, query for the function record.
3. In the Function record, click the link in the Function Name field.
4. In the Line Items list, select the line item, and then click Double Book.
