Associating Tax Codes to Service Charges

Some service charges may be taxable which requires the administrator to associate the service charge codes to the tax codes.

This task is performed as part of Tax Code Administration, which is a step in Process of Setting Up Charge Codes, Taxes, and Service Charges.

To associate a tax code with a service charge

1. From the application-level menu, choose Navigate > Site Map > Tax Service Admin > Service Charges.
2. In the Service Charges list, query for the service charge record, and then scroll down and click the Taxes view tab.
3. In the Taxes list, click New, select the tax code and save the record.

   The remaining fields should be automatically populated with the tax code information.

   Repeat this step for each tax code that needs to be associated with the service charge.
