Preparing a Simple Product Base for a Complex Product

This procedure prepares you for complex product creation, and assumes the simple products that make up the complex product are already defined. For more information, see Creating Simple Products for Hospitality Events.

To prepare a simple product base for a complex product in Hospitality

1. From the application-level menu, choose Navigate > Site Map > Product Administration.
2. In the Products list, select the product, and then click the link in the product Name field.
3. Click the Customizable Product view tab.
4. From the menu in the Lock/Unlock Product list, choose Create Workspace.
5. In the Lock/Unlock Product list, click the check box in the Locked Flag field to lock the product.

   The product is now locked so that others cannot edit it.
