Process of Installing and Configuring the SWSE

Installing and configuring Siebel Web Server Extension (SWSE) consists of multiple tasks, which should be performed by the system administrator in the following order:

1. Review requirements for installing the SWSE. See Siebel Web Server Extension Installation Requirements.
2. Uninstall the Siebel HTTP Compression Filter, if installed in a prior 7.x.x version. See Uninstalling the Siebel HTTP Compression Filter.
3. Install your desired load-balancing solution. See Deployment Planning Guide.
4. Install the Web server. See Installing the Web Server.
5. Uninstall your existing SWSE. See Uninstalling Siebel eBusiness Applications.
6. Install the SWSE. See Installing the Siebel Web Server Extension.
7. Configure the SWSE. See Configuring the Siebel Web Server Extension.
8. Complete any appropriate postinstallation tasks. See Postinstallation Tasks for Siebel Web Server Extension.
