Process of Installing Siebel eBusiness Applications

The server installation process requires multiple tasks that you should perform in the following sequence. This sequence is also illustrated in Figure 1.

1. Planning your deployment. See Deployment Planning Guide.
2. Determining your load-balancing strategy. See Deployment Planning Guide.
3. Determining your media for installation. See Selecting Your Media for Installation in this chapter.
4. (Optional) Installing and configuring any server clustering software you intend to use. See Deployment Planning Guide.
