End-User Procedures for Account Aggregation


Customers of a financial institution that has deployed Siebel Account Aggregation solution can aggregate all of their online account information on one Web site and access the data with a single set of user login and password. Users will register for the account aggregation services from the Siebel eService applications.

After registering for the aggregation service, users will have to add Web site information for the institutions where they have their accounts. Users will be prompted to enter their login ID and password for each site they wish to aggregate.

Once you have entered the required information, you can access all your financial accounts from one single Web site using only your Siebel eService login and password.

Hosted Solution

To register for account aggregation services

  1. From Siebel eBanking, select the Account Aggregation tab.
  2. A screen describing the account aggregation services appears. This screen can be customized by the financial institution. The next screen displays a list of Terms and Conditions specific to each financial institution.

  3. If you agree to the Terms and Conditions, click Yes.
  4. The registration screen appears.

  5. Enter your email address and click Submit.
  6. A new browser window is opened and you are navigated to the account aggregation Web site hosted by Yodlee.

  7. To go back to Siebel eFinance, return to the browser with the Siebel application.

To access account aggregation

To unregister for account aggregation

  1. From Siebel eBanking, select the Accounts tab and click Unregister from the Aggregated Accounts list. You can also unregister for account aggregation by clicking My Profile and click Unregister Account Aggregation.
  2. Click Submit to confirm that you want to unregister. When you unregister, you are deleted from the Siebel database, but you are not automatically deleted from the Yodlee system.

Datafeed Solution

To register for account aggregation services

  1. From Siebel eBanking, select the Account tab.
  2. In the bottom Aggregated Accounts applet, click Register.
  3. A screen describing the account aggregation services appears.

  4. Click Terms and Conditions.
  5. A screen containing a list of Terms and Conditions specific to each financial institution appears.

  6. If you agree to the Terms and Conditions, click Yes.
  7. The registration screen appears.

  8. Enter your email address and click Submit.
  9. The Add Site view appears. You can select from a list of categories to select the type of financial account you want to add to your list of aggregated accounts.

To unregister from account aggregation

  1. Select the Accounts tab and click Unregister from the Account Aggregation list.
  2. You can also click My Profile and click Unregister Account Aggregation.

  3. Click Submit to confirm that you want to unregister.

NOTE:  When you unregister, you are deleted from the Siebel database, but you are not automatically deleted from the Yodlee system.

Managing Account Site List and Aggregated Data

To add a site

  1. Click Add New Site.
  2. From the Select Category screen, select the account type.
  3. In the Site List applet, select the site you wish to add.
  4. You can search for the site by clicking on Find. This function is case-sensitive, and you must use wild-keys for any unspecified characters.

  5. Enter your login information and password.
  6. Make sure that the site and login information you enter is correct. If you enter incorrect information, you will not be able to modify the site. You will have to remove the site from your Site List and then add the site back to your list again.

  7. Uncheck Private if you want to share your information with your financial institution.
  8. Click Submit. Once you have added the site to your list, you must first refresh the data before you can view it. Siebel eBanking does not automatically refresh your account data after you add a site. For more information, see To refresh account data.

Users can request real-time refresh of their aggregated accounts.

To refresh account data

  1. Select the Accounts tab.
  2. Click Refresh. Refresh will take a few seconds. You can perform other tasks in Siebel eBanking as the refresh takes place.
  3. Select the Accounts tab. If the Refresh is complete, you will see your updated information in the Aggregated Accounts applet.

To view aggregated account information

  1. Select the Accounts tab.
  2. Drill down on the Account Number of the account you want to view.
  3. Detailed account information appears.

The site list shows all of your online accounts that are currently being aggregated. Users can add or remove the Web sites of other financial institutions from their account aggregation site list as needed. Currently, Siebel eBanking only supports three account types: Banking, Investments, and Credit Card. Other financial account types not currently supported by Siebel eBanking are Retirement, Insurance, Loan, and Mortgage.

To remove a site

  1. Select the Accounts tab and click on My Site List in the Aggregated Accounts applet. You can also click on My Profile and click on Account Aggregation Sites.
  2. Select the site you want to remove.
  3. Click Remove Selected Site and click Confirm.
  4. The site is removed from your site list.

Employee Usage Scenarios (Datafeed Solution Only)

As an employee of the financial institution, you can gain access to the customers' aggregated account information. Employees such as financial consultants, private bankers, or marketing managers can gain access to the aggregated account information as long as the customers agreed to share that information with the financial institution.

As a private banker or financial consultant, with the customer's permission, you can access their aggregated account information. Before meeting with customers to discuss their financial needs, you can access not only all their accounts within your organization, but also all their account information held at other financial institutions through the aggregated accounts view. Understanding the customer's entire financial position will allow you to provide better advice to help them achieve their financial goals.

The following views are available for use in Siebel eBanking:

To access each contact's aggregated account information

  1. From Siebel eFinance, navigate to the Contacts screen.
  2. Select the contact.
  3. Select the Aggregated Accounts tab.
  4. The contact's list of aggregated accounts appears, along with a detailed view for each account.

  5. For detailed account information, click the Account Number hyperlink.

To access a list of the organization's customer aggregated accounts

  1. Navigate to the Financial Accounts Screen.
  2. From the Show drop-down list, select Aggregated Accounts.
  3. A list applet containing all of the aggregated accounts across the organization appears.

  4. For detailed account information, click the Account Number hyperlink.
