Activating Workflows

You must activate all the workflows that are connected with Siebel eAuction notification before you can send notifications. You do this by querying for all Siebel eAuction-related workflows, making a revision to the workflows, and activating them.

To activate workflows

  1. From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Siebel Workflow Administration > Workflow Processes.

    2. The Workflow Processes list appears.

  2. Click Query.
  3. In the Name field, type eAuc*.
  4. Click Go.

    5. A list of Siebel eAuction-related workflows appears.

  5. Select the notification workflow you want to activate and click Revise.

    6. A revised version (a copy) of the original workflow appears below the original workflow.

    NOTE:  The Status field of the new (copied) workflow says In Progress and the Version field displays the number 1.

  6. Click Activate.

    7. Once activated, the workflow process displays a status of Active.

  7. Repeat Step 5 and Step 6 for the remaining workflows you want to activate.

NOTE:  You must type the exact names of each workflow you revise in the following step, Checking System Preferences for Notifications. Refer to Table 2 for the different workflow names.
