This chapter describes how to customize the appearance of the Oracle BI Presentation Services user interface.

NOTE:  In Oracle BI Presentation Services, customization of user interface elements and appearance is accomplished by modifying XML message files, and styles and skins, and not through the use of JavaScript. You should not modify JavaScript files located in the folder SAROOTDIR\web\app\res, where SAROOTDIR is the installation directory. This is because the objects and methods in these scripts may change, and because these files may be replaced when upgrading. (In a dashboard, users with the appropriate permissions can customize an individual dashboard section by adding HTML to it. This HTML can include JavaScript.
