Create or Edit Tasks

To learn what tasks are and what they are used for, refer to What You Can Do with Tasks and Task List Templates.

To create or edit a task:

  1. If the Task Editor is not already open, open it in one of the following ways:

  2. In the Name box, type a clear and concise title for the task.

  3. In the Description box, type a thorough description of what the task entails. The description can include a link to additional information (for example, detailed instructions). You can enter URLs like http://www.bea.com separated by spaces, commas, semicolons, returns, or parentheses.

  4. Specify when this task should begin:

  6. In the Duration box and drop-down list, specify the length of time you suggest this task will take.

  7. If you are creating more than one task, repeat Steps 2-5 until you are done, then click Finish. If you have created 5 tasks you will be asked if you want to create more.

  8. When you are done, click Finish.
