Available Maintenance Packs

The existing mainline release notes are updated with Maintenance Pack (MP) specific information. BEA recommends you to read these release notes in conjunction with the mainline documentation available on edocs. Note that MP specific version changes are not reflected on the landing page or in the mainline documentation set since an MP does not include new features or enhancements.

How to Navigate the WebLogic Portal Documentation

The features view provides a straightforward path based on feature guides. The Life Cycle view presents the documentation set through the context of the iterative portal life cycle.

Features View

This view of the documentation set offers feature-based guides in their entirety.

Life Cycle View

This view of the documentation set guides you through the different stages of portal application development and management.

Developing portals with WebLogic Portal is an iterative process characterized by four phases:

In each phase you use different tools and features. By viewing the documentation according to the portal life cycle, you can understand the big-picture context as well as the more detailed areas for each feature.

Note: For more information on the portal life cycle, please see the Overview.
