Opening Records and Associated Related Items


The following procedure shows you how to open records and associated related items.

To open records and associated related items

  1. Start the browser on your mobile device.
  2. Enter the URL address for the Siebel Mobile application, and then log in to the application as shown in Logging In to Siebel Mobile Applications.

    If you are using the Siebel Mobile application for Siebel Pharma, for example, then the Calls page displays the list and record details view by default, as follows:

    • List information is displayed in the left pane.
    • Record details are displayed in the right pane or work area.

      The related items (or child objects) that can be associated with the record are displayed below the record details. For example, if you are using the Siebel Mobile application for Siebel Pharma, then the related items for Accounts are: Contacts, Calls, and Addresses.

  3. To open an account record and one of its associated related items, do the following:
    1. Tap Accounts on the application banner, then a record in the Accounts list.
    2. In the work area, tap for example the Addresses related item.

      Account record details are now displayed in the left pane, and the details for the selected related item (in this case, Addresses) are now displayed in the work area as shown in Figure 2.

    3. To modify the related item, tap Edit on the header bar in the work area.
    4. To add a related item, tap the New (plus) icon on the header bar in the work area.
    5. To navigate to a different related item, tap the related item under the record details in the left pane.
