Sun Mainframe Transaction Processing Software Installation Guide

This document describes the procedures for installing Sun Mainframe Transaction Processing software (Sun MTP). You must be familiar with your operating system and its computing environment requirements.
How This Book Is Organized
Chapter 1 describes the hardware and software required to run Sun MTP.
Chapter 2 explains how to prepare your system for the installation.
Chapter 3 explains how to install Sun MTP.
Chapter 4 describes how to migrate to Sun MTP Release 8.0 from previous releases.
Chapter 5 describes how to run the sample applications to verify the installation.
Chapter 6 covers additional installation topics, including procedures for preserving site-specific changes you made in earlier versions of the software.
After completing the installation tasks in this manual, refer to the Sun Mainframe Transaction Processing Software Configuration Guide.
Using UNIX Commands
This document does not contain information about basic UNIX® commands and procedures such as shutting down the system, booting the system, and configuring devices. Refer to the following for this information:
