Solaris 2.5.1 and HotJava Views Calendar
If you are installing Netra j 3.0 on a system running the Solaris 2.5.1 operating environment, and you plan to use the HotJava(TM) Views(TM) Calendar, you must first install the Common Desktop Environment (CDE). CDE is available on the Solaris Desktop CD or Solaris Update CD.
Volume Manager
If you are installing the Netra j 3.0 software from a CD onto a computer that does not have an internal CD-ROM drive or diskette drive, first verify that Volume Manager is running by typing:
% ps -ef |grep vold
If you do not see /usr/sbin/vold in the output displayed, you must start Volume Manager. Refer to the Solaris Handbook for SMCC Peripherals for more detailed instructions.
