Preface

The Sun Blade X6275 Server Module Service Manual provides detailed procedures for removing and replacing replaceable parts in the Oracle® Sun Blade X6275 Server Module. This manual also includes information about the use and maintenance of the Server Module.

This document is written for technicians, system administrators, authorized service providers (ASPs), and users who have advanced experience troubleshooting and replacing hardware.

How This Document Is Organized

This manual contains the following chapters.

Chapter	Describes:
Chapter 1	“Introduction to the Sun Blade X6275 Server Module” provides an overview of the system, including front and back panel features. This chapter also contains illustrations showing system components.
Chapter 2	“Preparing to Service the System” describes the steps necessary to prepare the system for service.
Chapter 3	“Servicing Server Module Components” describes the service procedures for the motherboard and its associated components, including installing and upgrading memory modules (DDR3 DIMMs).
Chapter 4	“Returning the Server to Operation” describes how to bring the server back to operation after performing service procedures.
Appendix A	“BIOS Screens” contains examples of typical BIOS screens.
