This chapter provides an introduction to the NWAM graphical user interface (GUI), which includes a description of the components that make up the NWAM GUI. Basic instructions for interacting with NWAM from the desktop, controlling network connections, adding wireless networks, and creating and managing network profiles are also included in this chapter.
This chapter does not provide step-by-step instructions on managing your network exclusively by using GUI. For detailed instructions, refer to the online help, which can be accessed by right-clicking the Network Status icon that is displayed in the panel notification area of the desktop at all times. Links within the GUI take you to pages in the online help that provide more detailed information about each topic. You can also navigate through the online help by clicking links that are displayed in the text or by clicking the various topics in the side pane.
