PCIe ExpressModule Overview

Note - Some components or functions might not be supported initially. For the most up-to-date information about supported hardware, refer to Sun Server X2-8 (formerly Sun Fire X4800 M2) Product Notes.

The Sun Server X2-8 has eight PCIe Express Module (PCIe EM) slots. The PCIe EMs have a lever mechanism that is used for removal and installation. The lever is held in place by a release latch.

Note - PCIe EMs are designated as customer-replaceable units (CRU).

Note - The PCIe EMs shown in this topic might differ from the model supplied with your server.
